Tragedy struck on Sunday morning, March 15th after a pipeline explosion in the Abule Ado community of Lagos, killing several people and injuring so many others. The explosion affected Bethlehem Girls College and claimed the life of the school principal, Reverend Sister Henrietta Alokha. The roof of the collapsing building was said to have fallen on the principal  after she succeeded rescuing all the students of the school . The late principal is the younger sister of WB Anselm Alokha.
